    Olympics: Mayor Rio receives Olympic flag


    LONDON: The Mayor of Rio, Eduardo Paes, formally received the Olympic flag from London counterpart Boris Johnson here Sunday during the closing ceremony for the London Olympics.
    The handover of the flag marks the symbolic transfer of responsibilities
    for organising the next Olympic Games, to be held in Rio in 2016. (AFP)
